(Editor's note: this is an e-mail sent to me detailing the location of
items, teleporters and the order to tackle the stages. It's not horribly
organized, but it should help, because there's a lot to see in Konami Wai
Wai World.)

By Ryan Rosario (rcdr@pacific.net.ph)

As for the teleporters, here they are, if I remember them correctly:

*in the Castlevania stage, the platform to the lower right of the platform
with the hidden stairs before getting the cross

*in the Goonies stage, in the area below the rushing walruses, there is a
big platform just below the stairs (area with the lava pits) . Then there
are smaller platforms below (same area) One of them is the hidden teleporter.

*In the Goemon stage, find the dragon guarding the key. The teleporter's
in the area to the right of that room. In other words, the upper right
room of the stage, when you get to the outside of the pagoda. It's there
somewhere.

*In the MoonWind Warrior stage (the one with the flying zombies, where you
need a big character like Kong or the Moai to make the tall jumps), there
is a platform in the upper area with the skeletons carrying whips, a-la
Simon Belmont. It's somewhere in the middle of the area, a floating
platform. It's the platform where you get the cape for Mr. and Ms. Konami
(to use, just hold down the A button)

*In the Moai stage, it's the beginning of the area before you rescue Moai,
just next to the stairs, I think (it's the biggest stage, so I may have
forgotten it...haven't played it for nearly ten years, sorry) Oh yeah, Moai
isn't from the Gradius games, Konami made a puzzle game, called Mo-ai-jin,
starring the Moai character. It's just like the Solomon's Key puzzle game.

*I haven't found the hidden teleporter in the Kong stage, since the stage
is the smallest in the game, so there's no need for a shortcut to hq,
although my friend told me he accidentally found it one time, then he
forgot :(
There you are.

And here is the sequence to getting all characters:
1) Simon or Goemon (I don't rescue Goemon just yet, I use his key for
rescuing Kong)
2) Mikey
3) Kong (use Goemon's Key, then kill the Kong boss to get the key for
later)
4) MoonWind Warrior (No keys here, just kill the boss to free him)
5) Moai
6)Goemon, using Moai's key -- he may be cool, but he can't hit small
enemies when he crouches, he strikes his pipe upwards, so he's
pretty hard to use), but only he can open the glowing ? boxes, just touch
it and crouch

*Then the different items in the game:

*The cape, in the MoonWind Warrior stage. For Mr. and Ms. Konami only.

*The powerup item, like the powerup icon in Gradius, found under the
entrance to Goemon's pagoda. Makes all characters stronger, offensively.
Use Kong or Moai to kill Dracula in three hits. Just fly beneath the
entrance to get it.

*There are two weapons in Mikey's stage, the slingshot and Mr. Konami's
pistol.

*Ms. Konami's UZI is to the left of the area with the fishmen in the
Castlevania stage. Use the cape. The platform there is a trap, since it
collapses once you touch it. TAP the D-pad downwards slowly to get lower,
then the UZI's all yours. It's one of the best weapons, since it goes
through enemies for multiple hits.

*The bananas for Kong are in the highest area in the Kong stage. But if he
uses them, they turn into boulders.

*The dice game in Goonies stage doubles or halves your missile supply

*The gambling houses in Goemon's stage are for resurrecting your dead
characters (roulette, get three crowns to get them all again)and health
(the card game with the grim reaper) I think there's another one, but I
forgot what the stakes are.

That's it!
