In its early years, Gleam wasn't just a game developer, but also host to a manhwa Studio, and its founder Yang Seungjun used to be a manhwa artist as well1, hence their early games focused a lot on beautiful illustrations and were often accompanied by cartoons. Gleam Entertainment also had a partnership with another developer, L&K Logic Korea
L&K had gotten its start doing web design contract work, but "upgraded" to game development the following year2. The two companies cooperated on the sequel to L&K's real-time strategy game Mirror War and the MMORPG Red Gem, but Gleam eventually had to drop out of the latter project3.
In the 2000s, it had become very quiet around Gleam Digital Entertainment. The PC/Mobile crossover MMORPG Lord of D was a failure, and the Online lightgun shooter Battle School was eventually cancelled after a long development time4. Gleam didn't recover from those setbacks, and quietly disappeared sometime in 2010.
Meanwhile, L&K Logic Korea is still around, continuing both the Mirror War and Red Gem series. There even was a Red Gem-themed edition of he board game Gemblo in 20085.
